5 Months

Ryker is 5 months old today. He is growing up way too fast! Time needs to slow down just a little bit...before I know it, he's going to be walking around and talking. Ryker is such a little cutie and is still as happy as can be. Even in these photos I took of him today he's had a runny nose and cough, and he's still just as smiley. He is such a good baby!

Here are some of the new things Ryker is doing: rolling from back to stomach, he can bounce like crazy in his bouncer, everything that comes within his reach he immediately grabs and puts in his mouth, and he is starting to roll and reach for toys also. He is getting super close to sitting up all on his own, (he is so strong for his age). I'm thinking he's ready to start on solid foods...he's always reaching for our food and licking his lips when he sees us eating something.

Brody is constantly trying to get Ryker to laugh. If Ryker is in his bouncer, Brody will jump off the couch towards Ryker and he will just start busting up! I'm not sure why it makes Ryker laugh so hard, but ever since the first time, Brody is always jumping off the couch now trying to get him to laugh. It is so cute! They really do have such a special bond and I love watching them together...it is so precious!

Something else I'm loving about this age right now is all of the cuddling! He is still my little cuddle bug. I've been expecting it to stop at anytime, but it's just getting better! After he eats, he'll cuddle with me and nuzzle into my neck and just talk and hum to me. I get teary-eyed every time...it melts my heart and I could sit there like that all day. I think that even though Brody would never admit it...it makes him a little jealous. Brody usually sits by us on the couch while I feed Ryker, and watches a show or plays with his cars...when he sees this happening he puts his face right in front of mine and says, "I want to play with you right now. Put Ryker in his bumbo seat and lets play." Haha. Or other times he'll get Ryker's attention instead and say, "Hi, baby. I'm yours brother. When you're a boy like me you can play cars too." Ryker will just get a huge smile on his face. He loves him.

I feel like Ryker is so old when I say he's 5 months now...it sounds so much older than saying he's 4 months. He is so much fun and I love seeing his personality come out a little bit. He is such a special little boy and I love being his mommy! We love you, Ryker!
