Our New House

Yep...we bought a house. I still can't believe it. I feel like we had been looking forever. Jayson and I were starting to get really frustrated and felt that we would never be able to find something...then it just happened. We found this cute little house on the Daybreak website and decided to drive by it. We loved it right away and loved it even more when we found out we would still be able to pick out all of the cabinets, flooring, paint...everything! It was within our price range, we will have a driveway...even with it being in an alleyway, and a nice side yard that we will be able to fence. (The yard is completed by the builder, so no need to worry about putting it in...just the fence.)

The other nice thing is that our basement will be finished as well. Holmes Homes was offering a free finished basement if you went with their preferred lender. At first we were thinking there was some kind of catch to that...but none at all. We are so thrilled! Our finished house will have 5 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, 2 living rooms, a kitchen and a dining room. We've already been to the design center and picked out all of our options. Now we're just anxious and have to wait for it to be finished. It's like when I was little and waiting for Christmas to come...only worse. Our house is also a "smart home." We get a free iPad 2 to be able to control everything. Jayson is pretty stoked about that. Although I hope he realizes he's going to have to teach me how to use it. Haha. That might be interesting. Here's to hoping 60 days goes by fast.

I Love My Boys

I'm one lucky girl. Sometimes I feel a bit outnumbered, but I wouldn't trade these boys for anything.

3 Months Old

Ryker is 3 months old today. Time has really flown by. He is growing and changing everyday. He is still as happy as can be and is always smiling. All I have to do is look at him and he gets the biggest grin and his whole face lights up. He is such a cute boy!

Some of his new accomplishments are rolling over from his stomach to back, batting at toys with an open fist, (and sometimes even grabbing the toy), and small little giggles. He still loves to coo and have little conversations. It is one of my favorite things to do with him. I wish I could bottle up all his little noises so that I can hear them forever.

Ryker is also a great sleeper. We put him in his crib for the first time the other night and he slept great! He slept from about 10pm-5am, and was only up for about 15 min and then went back to sleep until 8am. I'm not so sure how I got so lucky. He already knows the difference between night and day and I haven't even had to do anything! During the day he still takes quite a few naps...some only last 30 minutes but he usually has one that lasts a couple of hours.

Something else Ryker loves is to cuddle. I pretty much have to force Brody to cuddle with me, but Ryker will cuddle right up to me...especially if he's tired. I'll admit that sometimes I just hold him while he's all bundled up and sleeping just so I can snuggle with him. I should be doing other things, but I'll take it while I still can. And now that Brody's older, he'll snuggle with us sometimes. That's the ULTIMATE when this happens. Cuddling with my two boys is the best thing ever!

Ryker is such a happy little man and I can't imagine my life without him. He makes all of us so happy and I'm so blessed to have him as my son. Happy 3 months, Ryker! I love you!
