Christmas Eve 2012

We spent Christmas Eve with Jayson's family. We had a yummy dinner and played "Minute to Win It" games. The kids acted out the christmas story and had fun dressing up together. Then Santa left his bag on the porch again. It was fun times with people we love. I love seeing my boys have so much fun with their cousins!

Me: "We need to buy a present for daddy for Father's Day. What should we get him?"

Brody: "A Mater monster truck. That's a great idea."

"Look, mom! Ryker's awake! I said hi to him, and now he's awake! Haha, he loves me. I'm going to give him a kiss now."

Brody: "Yours hair looks nice."

Me: "Oh, thank you so much. You're so nice."

Brody: "I am."

"I want alligator juice." (Meaning Gatorade. I think he got confused.)

"The sun is making me sneezy."

"I will have a beard when I'm a guy."

"When I'm a daddy, I will shave my mustache. Haha! That's silly."

"Mama, you're a beautiful princess. I love you!"

Brody: "You love Daddy, mama?"

Me: "Yes, I do."

Brody: "You are married?"

Me: "Yes. Do you know where we were married?"

Brody: "The temple."

Me: "You're right! Do you want to marry a pretty girl in the temple when you get older?"

Brody: "Yes...to you! You're a pretty girl and I love you! I'll marry you in the temple."

(Haha. Sweet innocence.)

Brody: "Daddy's at work, mama?"

Me: "Yep, he is."

Brody: "You don't have a work, mama."

(Oh.. if he only knew just how much work I do have.)

"Mama, don't throw Dexter away in the garbage can. I love him...please don't throw him away."

(As I'm helping him in the bathroom.)

Brody: "I just had to drop a deuce."

Me: "That's not a very polite thing to say, Brody."

Brody: "But Daddy says it every time."

(I was watching the news while he was eating breakfast, and a commercial came on...)

"Hey, I want 'good mood food.' Can we go to Arby's?...Please?"

Me: "I already told you, honey. That sign says 'Office Max.'"

Brody: "Hey, don't call me 'honey.'"

Me: "But you are my honey. I want to call you that sometimes."

Brody: "But bees make honey, and I'm NOT honey."
